CytoSorbents Corporation, a critical care immunotherapy company commercializing its CytoSorb® extracorporeal cytokine adsorber to reduce deadly inflammation in critically-ill and cardiac surgery patients, announced today that it has submitted an Investigational Device Exemption (IDE) application to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to conduct its proposed clinical trial using CytoSorb® intra-operatively in patients undergoing complex cardiac surgery requiring the use of a heart-lung machine.
A recent CDC report calls into question the widely reported belief that Black fathers are more absent in their children's lives than White fathers - showing that while more Black fathers live apart from their children, they are just as involved with their children as members of other racial groups in the same living situations.
Argos Therapeutics today announced that its Arcelis immunotherapy targeted at diabetes demonstrated potential for preventing and treating the disease in non-obese diabetic (NOD) mice, according to a peer-reviewed article published in Molecular Therapy.
