Boston Scientific Corporation today announced results from an analysis of one-year subset data from the HORIZONS AMI trial assessing the impact of diabetes on clinical and angiographic outcomes in heart attack patients treated with the TAXUS® Express2™ Paclitaxel-Eluting Stent System or the Express® bare-metal stent.
A large study co-authored by Penn Medicine published this week in the New England Journal of Medicine found that African Americans with the APOL1 gene variant experience faster progression of chronic kidney disease and have a significantly increased risk of kidney failure, regardless of their diabetes status.
