Expanding insurance coverage for a type of in vitro fertilization known as elective single-embryo transfer could lead to improved health outcomes and lower health care costs, according to a newly published study that included researchers from the University of Colorado School of Medicine.
Precision Therapeutics will proudly continue its dedicated support to the NOCC Pittsburgh Chapter's 13th Annual Walk to Break the Silence on Ovarian Cancer. Precision has been a strong supporter of the NOCC 5 Mile Run/5 Mile & 1 Mile walk for over five years, and once again expects a great number of its employees will join together in full force to walk alongside ovarian cancer patients and survivors to help strengthen the partnerships it has forged by supporting the very cancer patients that it strives to help.
In today's landmark hearings called by State Senators Alex Padilla (D-Pacoima) and Elaine Kontominas Alquist (D-San Jose), representatives from the soda industry failed to acquit themselves of a growing body of research implicating sugar-sweetened beverages as the leading culprit in the obesity epidemic.
Scientists now have clues to how a gene mutation discovered in families affected with congenital heart disease leads to underdevelopment of the walls that separate the heart into four chambers.
When cancer progresses and spreads to the bone, patients often suffer debilitating pain. Now, a new phase III clinical trial shows that non-invasive magnetic resonance guided focused ultrasound treatment that heats the cancer within the bone, relieves pain and improves function for most patients when other treatment options are limited.
