Brief, directed smartphone exercises can help quickly improve our mood. This is the latest finding from psychologists at the University of Basel and their international colleagues, reported in the journal Frontiers in Psychology.
Despite concerns expressed by the World Bank and the WHO that the current economic climate would lead donor countries to scale back development assistance, a study published online Friday in the WHO Bulletin finds what the authors "described as 'surprisingly little' evidence that economic downturns are associated with deep cuts in aid, at least in the first few years of a financial crisis," Reuters reports.
"CHI commends the FDA for its recognition of the need for a more efficient regulatory pathway for innovative medical devices that have the potential to improve lives," said CHI President and CEO David L. Gollaher, Ph.D. "It is essential that the FDA maintains focus on initiatives that strengthen the medical device review process, bringing greater clarity and consistency, while ensuring the U.S. maintains its competitive edge."
