Wake Forest University Counseling Professor Donna Henderson co-developed a training course with easy-to-follow lessons that helps nonprofessional community volunteers in developing countries respond to mental health issues.
New research from Umeå University in Sweden indicates that dispensed medication for psychiatric diagnosis can be related to air pollution concentrations. The study covers a large part of the Swedish population and has been published in the journal BMJ Open.
A newly-published assessment of health facilities in Lebanon shows that a quarter of those examined are not functioning due to physical damage, lack of staff or lack of accessibility, and that water and fuel shortages remain a serious concern.
