Results from a 10-year study suggest two strains of influenza that could mix and form a dangerous new strain of influenza spread by dogs.
Greatbatch Medical announced today that it has received regulatory clearance for its next generation valved peelable introducer used in the delivery of leads and catheters into the venous system. OptiSeal™ Valved PTFE Peelable Introducer achieved regulatory clearance on Monday, March 15, 2010, representing the first 510(k) regulatory approval under the Greatbatch Medical brand. It is also approved in Canada and CE marked for distribution in Europe.
Analysts suggest that health reform legislation may do little to help Hispanics - many of whom could remain uninsured due to immigration restrictions and costs - as well as other immigrants. Meanwhile, African-American and Hispanic groups unite with an advertising campaign to push for health care reform.
An experimental cancer drug that has shown promise in the treatment of melanoma has also shown early potential as an effective treatment for patients with non-small cell lung cancer, the leading cause of cancer death among men and women worldwide.
