After phase 1 results of Seattle Children's Pediatric Leukemia Adoptive Therapy trial have shown T-cell immunotherapy to be effective in getting 93 percent of patients with relapsed or refractory acute lymphoblastic leukemia into complete initial remission, researchers have now opened a first-in-human clinical trial aimed at reducing the rate of relapse after the therapy, which is about 50 percent.

NC family hopes to win Pepsi Refresh Project grant to fund research for Alternating Hemiplegia of Childhood

A Rolesville, NC family is hoping to win the Pepsi Refresh Project that could help to find a cure for a rare neurological disorder for which there is no current cure. Matthew Wuchich, age 3, was diagnosed with Alternating Hemiplegia of Childhood or AHC when he was 18 months old. Winning the grant is important to the family and to others with the disease since rare diseases often are overlooked by more common ailments.

U.S. Citizens Association attributes Scott Brown victory to its campaign against Obama's health care policies

The stunning victory of Scott Brown in Massachusetts could be directly attributed to the U.S. Citizens Association's six month national media campaign against health care and the far left policies of the Obama Administration and Congress.
