Researchers at the University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center have found a protein that enables cellular survival during periods of low oxygen, or hypoxia, which also is key for development of many kinds of cancer.
Dune Medical Devices, Inc., announced today that it has received an Approvable Letter for its Premarket Approval Application (PMA) from the Food and Drug Administration. The Approvable Letter states that the MarginProbe System PMA is approvable subject to final agreement with FDA on the design of the required Post Approval Study.
Information on significant properties of pharmaceutical tablets, such as their mechanical strength and dissolution, can now be obtained without resorting to the conventional, time-consuming and destructive testing methods, according to a new study completed at the University of Eastern Finland.
Rhythm Pharmaceuticals, a biotechnology company developing peptide therapeutics for metabolic diseases, announced today that it has completed the first close on its Series A equity financing of $21 million. The financing was led by MPM Capital and New Enterprise Associates. The funds will be used to develop products licensed from Ipsen.
