The Dispensary of Hope, a Nashville-based not-for-profit social venture, is pleased to announce that seven new sites across the nation have been added to the Dispensary network, bringing the total number of sites to almost eighty. Apart from Tennessee, the locations of new sites include Pennsylvania, Michigan, Louisiana and Alabama, widening the scope of the Dispensary and providing opportunities to many different communities.
Nutraceutical International Corporation today reported results for the fiscal 2010 second quarter ended March 31, 2010. Net sales for the fiscal 2010 second quarter were $47.9 million compared to $42.0 million for the same quarter of fiscal 2009. For the second quarter of fiscal 2010, net income was $5.1 million, or $0.49 diluted earnings per share, compared to a net loss of $(23.4) million, or $(2.15) per diluted share, for the same quarter of fiscal 2009.
A group of experts, led by researchers at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health in collaboration with the Clinton Foundation, today issued a new report with comprehensive recommendations aimed at stemming the opioid epidemic, a spiraling crisis that kills on average 90 people a day in the U.S., and shows few signs of reversing.
By the time multiple sclerosis (MS) is diagnosed in children, it may be difficult to prevent the disabilities and relapses that come with the disease. In a new Yale School of Medicine study, researchers examined MRI brain scans to identify children at high risk of developing MS before symptoms appear, which may lead to earlier diagnosis and treatment.
