Although Huntington's disease (HD) is traditionally thought of as a neurological disorder, behavioral symptoms are a common feature and frequently cause distress and difficulty to patients, family members, and other caregivers.
Stereotaxis, Inc. announced today that the Company has closed on its previously announced $40 million credit facility, which includes a $30 million revolving facility that matures on March 31, 2012 and a $10 million term loan that matures on December 31, 2013. The new facility was led by Silicon Valley Bank, and replaces the Company's previous facility that was scheduled to mature in March 2011.
A couple of teaspoons of a fiber supplement, taken daily, has produced some exciting results that will help children with overweight or obesity maintain a healthier weight and prevent many diseases caused by obesity.
Managed-care companies in New York have come under fire for signing up vigorous older adults referred to them by social day care centers, customers whose health needs are relatively small. But on Tuesday, legal advocates for the disabled told the state's Medicaid director that the most seriously impaired people were getting the opposite treatment (Bernstein, 4/30).
Genetic tests conducted on blood samples may replace the current biopsies when it comes to checking if immune systems are rejecting new organs of heart transplant patients. The test would be far less invasive and uncomfortable as compared to the biopsies, not to mention more affordable.
