The Akay Lab biomedical research team at the University of Houston is reporting an improvement on a microfluidic brain cancer chip previously developed in their lab.
Several new studies suggest how transplant surgeons can make more effective use of kidneys from deceased donors – even those that are at the outer limits of acceptance criteria – according to researchers from Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center.
Specific brain regions, including those involved in awareness of self and tendency to ruminate, show altered activity in patients with insomnia when compared to good sleepers, according to a new study by researchers at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine published this week in the journal SLEEP.
The GSMA today announced a first-of-its-kind clinical study for its mHealth Grand Tour in September 2013, which is designed to raise awareness of diabetes and promote the development and delivery of mHealth solutions in partnership with the International Diabetes Federation European Region (IDF Europe).
