Two Veterans Affairs researchers have explored how memory is tied to the hippocampus, with findings that will expand scientists' understanding of how memory works.
The Entomological Society of America (ESA) recently released a statement supporting the creation and implementation of a national strategy using Integrated Tick Management to better control tick populations and reduce the rapidly escalating impact of tick-borne diseases such as Rocky Mountain spotted fever, tularemia, and Lyme disease.
In a paper published today by Brahm Brahm, a model was introduced explaining the cause of high blood pressure. This model describes how both your heart and arteries contract to pump blood, creating pressure in the process. For the first time, this contraction cycle of the muscles in artery walls has been mathematically described.
Young adults in the north west of England have turned to unidentified white powders following the ban on former 'legal high' mephedrone and the falling purity of popular street drugs such as cocaine, according to new research published today in the journal Drug and Alcohol Today.
