Robert D'Amicodatri had two strokes, complicated by seizures, and rang up $374,741 in charges at Crozer-Chester Medical Center early in 2009. An investigation into unpublished stroke research data has revealed that 19.6% of completed clinical trials, which could potentially influence patient care, are not published in full. Researchers writing in BioMed Central's open access journal Trials describe how these unpublished studies included more than 16,000 participants and tested 89 different interventions.
Poniard Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a biopharmaceutical company focused on innovative oncology therapies, announced today that it has completed the voluntary prepayment of the $12.35 million aggregate principal, interest and fees due under its senior secured loan facility with GE Business Financial Services Inc. and Silicon Valley Bank.
The study, conducted by scientists from University of Queensland, Queensland University of Technology and Queensland Institute of Medical Research, is published in the current edition of international journal Archives of Sex Research (Oct 2005).
A new expert review confirms that diet significantly influences mental health and wellbeing, but cautions that the evidence for many diets is comparatively weak.
