Marinomed Biotechnologie GmbH, a company focused on the development of innovative therapies for respiratory diseases, announced today that it has signed a licensing agreement with the international pharmaceutical company Boehringer Ingelheim. New research from the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB) says low potassium levels produce an increased risk of death or hospitalization in patients with heart failure and chronic kidney disease (CKD).

Omeros secures committed equity financing facility

Omeros Corporation today announced that it has secured a committed equity financing facility under which it may sell up to $40 million of its shares of common stock to Azimuth Opportunity, Ltd. over a 24-month period.
