Mayo Clinic researchers have found that a sometimes deadly stomach bug, Clostridium difficile, (http://www.mayoclinic.org/c-difficile/) is on the rise in outpatient settings.
AYOXXA Biosystems GmbH, an international biotechnology company, focused on the development of innovative multiplex protein analysis technologies enabling translational research in basic and clinical research, today announced the expansion of its catalogue of immunoassays for multiplex protein analysis with the introduction of LUNARIS™ Mouse 12-Plex Th17 Kit for the quantitative analysis of soluble mouse T helper 17 (Th17) cell-related markers.
Spontaneous catch-up growth after birth in short children who were born small for gestational age is a negative predictor of their long-term response to growth hormone treatment, say researchers.
Research led by the European Bioinformatics Institute and the University of Washington has shown that the biological diversity needed for evolution can be generated by changes in protein modifications.
