Actavis Inc., today began shipping Tamsulosin capsules to its customers in the United States. The generic equivalent to Flomax®, Tamsulosin is used to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Actavis is partnering with Synthon Pharmaceuticals to launch and market Tamsulosin capsules in the United States.
Now, new evidence has shown that children with coronavirus disease (COVID-19) experience a Kawasaki-like illness, called multisystem inflammatory syndrome in children (MIS-C). The complication is akin to toxic shock syndrome, a condition that occurs due to sepsis. Though rare, the condition is life-threatening.
According to the American Cancer Society, 50 percent of cancer is completely preventable and about 90 percent is curable if detected early.
Urban gardens are becoming more commonplace across Detroit and other major urban cities throughout the United States. These gardens offer a source of free or inexpensive healthy food for the public and educate community members about food production and rehabilitating the local ecosystem.
