A recent study published in Pacing and Clinical Electrophysiology (PACE) determined that the use of catheter ablation to treat supraventricular tachycardia (SVT) is not detrimental to patients.
Over the past five years, the industrial sector has begun to see the value in digitalization and has invested more in adopting it. With this has come a cultural shift from reactive equipment maintenance to proactive maintenance that pre-empts problems.
Repairing traumatic injury to a bone is possible, but current procedures require multiple surgeries and long-term recovery. Kettering University's Dr. Montserrat Rabago-Smith and her team of co-researchers are exploring the use of a magnesium orthotic alloy in severe trauma injuries where the distance between two halves of a bone can't be overcome by the human body's ability to regenerate and heal.
Today's announcement of renewed support for cancer control by Prime Minister Harper is great news for Canadians. The Canadian Partnership Against Cancer is receiving a second five-year mandate, to begin in 2012, and $250 million in funding to continue implementation of Canada's national cancer control strategy.
