By analyzing throat and nose swabs from patients in Southern California, researchers detected a new SARS-CoV-2 strain with mutations in the spike protein. This major finding may explain a surge in the number of cases in the region.
In a study published online today in Science Translational Medicine, Albert Einstein College of Medicine researchers report that an experimental peptide drug shows promise against the often-lethal cancer acute myeloid leukemia and describe how the drug works at the molecular level.
In an interview with President Barack Obama, The National Journal asked about the GOP agenda, including repealing the health law. What is clear to me is that in the abstract, everybody on the Republican side is for repeal, Obama said.
Like horses running down the long stretch of a race track, two different artery-opening treatments appear to be running neck-and-neck when it comes to preventing stroke among people with clogged neck arteries and other health problems.
