Members from the laboratory of Stephen Ethier, Ph.D., deputy center director and director of basic science for the Barbara Ann Karmanos Cancer Institute, will present research findings on breast cancer-causing genes and how they operate at the American Association of Cancer Research Annual Meeting, April 13-18, in Los Angeles, CA.
In a new study published in Frontiers in Microbiology, Mark Eppinger, assistant professor in the Department of Biology at The University of Texas at San Antonio describes innovative strategies to track disease-causing pathogens like E. coli. Eppinger hopes his research will aid in halting and preventing large-scale outbreaks.
Fitch Ratings has assigned a 'AA' rating to the expected issuance of approximately $225 million of Indiana Finance Authority Health System revenue bonds, series 2009A (Sisters of St. Francis Health Services, Inc. Obligated Group; (SSFHS). In addition, Fitch affirms the outstanding 'AA' long-term ratings on approximately $950.3 million of bonds issued for SSFHS.
Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center announced today that it is relaunching an online study to help people quit smoking. The study, called WebQuit, is enrolling adult smokers nationwide. Participation is free to eligible individuals.
