The Center for Neurotechnology Studies at the Potomac Institute for Policy Studies is proud to announce the launch of the Capital Consortium on Neuroscience, Ethics, Legal and Social Issues (CCNELSI) on Friday September 4, 2009.
Predictions that setting prices and tendering for the provision of hospital clinical services would lead to privatization of those services were reinforced by the Ministry of Health on Monday. A Ministry of Health spokesperson, in an email to the Thunder Bay Chronicle-Herald stated that the government is "not considering outsourcing or privatization" and that any change in that position "would only be undertaken with consultation with the field and that implementation would be phased in to protect hospitals and the public from service disruption."
Anaplastic lymphoma kinase gene status in patients with lung adenocarcinoma can be determined non-invasively using circulating tumor cells, research shows.
Rep. Todd Akin doesn't look like he's going away. And that's a problem for Mitt Romney, the presumed Republican nominee. Akin's open defiance makes Romney look like a figurehead. After Romney joined other Republican Party leaders urging Akin to step down as the Republican Senate candidate in Missouri, Akin told the nominee to mind his own business. "Don't you think he may have built this thing up and made a bigger deal about it than he needed to?" Akin said on Sean Hannity's radio show. "Why couldn't he run his race and I'll run mine?"
