Neuroscientists at McMaster University have found a link between children who are at risk for developmental coordination disorder (DCD), a common condition that can cause clumsiness, and difficulties with time perception such as interpreting changes in rhythmic beats.
After an accident that involved a subcontractor at a Brisbane CBD building site, workers have refused to return to work until they are satisfied with the safety arrangements. The subcontractor Braedon Webber, 25 is still in an induced coma this morning after being trapped between a piece of equipment and a concrete beam at the Laing O'Rourke tower at 123 Albert Street shortly before 7am yesterday.
This year's flu season is in full swing with 41 states now reporting widespread illness. Unfortunately, not enough children are getting the flu shot even though health officials recommend that all children 6 months and older get the vaccine. According to a new study by researchers at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center, less than 45 percent of children were vaccinated against the flu during a five-year study period.
