Decision Resources, one of the world's leading research and advisory firms for pharmaceutical and healthcare issues, finds that the neuropathic pain drug market - driven by the launches of several novel therapies - will increase from $6 billion in 2008 to $9.7 billion in 2018 in the United States, France, Germany, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom and Japan.
A research team from the National Cancer Institute (NCI) designated Kimmel Cancer Center (KCC) at Jefferson has concluded for the first time that a multidisciplinary clinic approach to aggressive prostate cancer can improve survival in patients. The results from the 15-year study of the multidisciplinary clinic can be found in the November issue of Journal of Oncology Practice.
They look like fruit, and indeed the nanoscale stars of new research at Rice University have tasty implications for medical imaging and chemical sensing.
The breast itself doesn't contain any muscles and the only 2 supporting structures are the skin and the Cooper's ligaments. Both of those structures are quite weak mechanically so they're not able to hold the breast in place firmly.
Savient Pharmaceuticals, Inc. announced that data providing further clarity and context surrounding the risk for and management of infusion reactions that may occur with KRYSTEXXA (pegloticase) in the treatment of refractory chronic gout (RCG) patients will be presented at the American College of Rheumatology (ACR) Annual Scientific Meeting in Chicago.
