"From World Food Day to Anti-Poverty Day, October is a busy month when it comes to calls to make the world a better place," Astrid Zweynert, deputy editor of AlertNet, writes in the news service's "Insight" blog.
Altos Solutions, Inc. today announced that OncoEMR Version 2.6 is the first oncology-specific electronic medical record (EMR) to be certified as 2011/2012 compliant and was certified as a Complete EHR on November 11, 2010 by the Certification Commission for Health Information Technology (CCHIT), an ONC-ATCB, in accordance with the applicable eligible provider certification criteria adopted by the Secretary of Health and Human Services.
People with early-onset dementia are often mistaken for having depression and now Australian research has discovered the cause: a profound loss of ability to experience pleasure - for example a delicious meal or beautiful sunset - related to degeneration of 'hedonic hotspots' in the brain where pleasure mechanisms are concentrated.
