Actelion Ltd announced today that findings from the REVEAL Registry have confirmed the clinical utility of the REVEAL risk score calculator, a new tool designed to predict 1-year survival in patients with pulmonary arterial hypertension according to data presented at the American Thoracic Society's Annual International Conference.
Online learning interventions and small group debriefings can improve medical residents' attitudes and communication skills toward patients with substance use disorders, and may result in improved care for these patients, according to a new study from the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania and Drexel University College of Medicine published online in Academic Medicine.
A new study carried out by the Bellvitge Biomedical Research Institute and the Institute of Global Health of Barcelona, a centre supported by "la Caixa" Foundation, associates for the first time mild obsessive-compulsive symptoms, which are present in a much higher percentage of cases than those that require specialized medical and psychological attention, to characteristics and specific alterations of the cerebral anatomy.
Rhode Island Blue Cross, the state's largest insurer, indicated that it would increase its average rates for small businesses by 15 percent, according to filings released on Monday. In Georgia, the push for earlier renewal dates is billed as an effort to avoid "rate shock."
