Adults older than 75 years continue to have regular screenings for colorectal, breast, cervical, and prostate cancer despite guidelines that recommend against such routine screenings in this population, according to a study by Keith M. Bellizzi, MD, MPH, from the University of Connecticut, Storrs, and colleagues.
Researchers examined the antibody responses in symptomatic and asymptomatic individuals recovered from COVID-19 to see if there was a discernable difference in their humoral immune responses and long-term protection from reinfection with SARS-CoV-2.
In conjunction with World Malaria Day, and in accordance with the requirements of the Tom Lantos and Henry J. Hyde United States Global Leadership Against HIV/AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria Reauthorization Act of 2008 (Lantos-Hyde), the U.S. Government, through the President's Malaria Initiative, today released a comprehensive strategy to combat malaria globally.
Some 40 years since CT scans first revealed abnormalities in the brains of schizophrenia patients, international scientists say the disorder is a systemic disruption to the brain's entire communication system.
A study by researchers in the U.S. has found that cured meats such as bacon, ham, and hot dogs can cause lung damage.
