The patent pool "will create a common space for patent holders to license their technology in exchange for royalties" and is "scheduled to begin operating in mid-2010," AFP reports (12/14).
A team of researchers has studied the molecular profile of small "messenger" vesicles called exosomes, produced by cancer stem cells (CSCs), which play a key role in the process of carcinogenesis and metastasis in the blood of patients with malignant melanoma.
Obesity and Type 2 diabetes are associated with vascular stiffening and the development of cardiovascular disease.
