Acclarent, Inc., a leader in minimally-invasive sinus surgery, today announced the introduction of two new technologies designed to improve visualization during sinus surgery The Acclarent Cyclops Multi-Angle Endoscope and the Relieva Luma Sentry Sinus Illumination System.
At a time when many families affected by a difficult economy are struggling with the costs of prescription medications, supermarket retailer Giant Eagle, Inc. is making ten broadly used generic prescription antibiotics in 46 common dosages available for free every day at all of its 210 in-store pharmacies.
Researchers from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee (UWM) have identified mechanisms in the brain responsible for regulating cocaine-seeking behavior, providing an avenue for drug development that could greatly reduce the high relapse rate in cocaine addiction.
A study published in the September 2014 issue of the Journal of the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry found that children and adolescents diagnosed with a psychiatric diagnosis had an increased risk of developing diabetes if they were exposed to antipsychotics.
SpeeDx has announced a distribution agreement with Serosep Ltd, a leading manufacturer and distributor of laboratory diagnostic solutions. This will strengthen sales channels in the UK and Ireland, ensuring greater access to SpeeDx's multiplexed PlexPCR and ResistancePlus molecular diagnostic tests across the region.
