After long, wrenching, debates with sometimes-graphic testimony about fetuses, the House approved bills Friday that would ban all abortions in Minnesota after 20 weeks of gestation and prohibit public money from paying for the procedure. The 20-week ban was approved, largely along party lines in the Republican-led chamber, 82-46.
Blood-contacting implantable medical devices, such as stents, heart valves, ventricular assist devices, and extracorporeal support systems, as well as vascular grafts and access catheters, are used worldwide to improve patients' lives. However, these devices are prone to failure due to the body's responses at the blood-material interface; clots can form and inflammatory reactions can prevent the device from performing as indicated. Currently, when this occurs, the only solution is to replace the device.
Patrick S. Smith, President and Chief Executive Officer of Curaxis Pharmaceutical Corp., today announced Curaxis' new listing on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange (FSE). Curaxis was at the FSE for its opening on February 8, 2011, and will trade under the symbol 8CX:GR.
