Neurotechnology, a provider of high-precision biometric and object identification technologies, today announced the availability of SentiSight 3.0, a Software Development Kit (SDK) for universal object recognition.
Four patients now have new lungs thanks to a purpose-built machine used for the first time worldwide by Sahlgrenska University Hospital. Acquired for research at the Sahlgrenska Academy, University of Gothenburg, Sweden, the new machine will contribute to more lung transplants in the long term.
University of Central Florida researchers, for the first time, have used stem cells to grow neuromuscular junctions between human muscle cells and human spinal cord cells, the key connectors used by the brain to communicate and control muscles in the body.
Data from individuals with different types of severe visual impairment suggest that the associations we make between sounds and shapes - a "smooth" b or a "spiky" k - may form during a sensitive period of visual development in early childhood.
