So-called type-3 secretion systems of pathogenic bacteria may be a suitable point of attack for future antibiotics. This is shown by Professor Maria Fällman and her associates at Umeå University in Sweden in the Proceeding of the National Academy of Sciences, PNAS, in the US.

A report issued by the Institute of Medicine (IOM) last December reviewed all the available scientific data compiled to date about potential environmental risks of breast cancer-factors such as pesticides, beauty products, household chemicals, and the plastics used to make water bottles.
"Like many foods, soft drinks and other sugar-sweetened beverages are a source of calories, but in and of themselves, they are not a unique risk factor for obesity or other negative health outcomes - including heart disease.
