Naurex Inc. today announced that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration has granted Fast Track designation to the investigation of GLYX-13, the company's rapid-acting antidepressant in Phase 2 clinical development, as adjunctive therapy in major depressive disorder.
In a study investigating the use of transcranial magnetic stimulation for drug addiction, researchers at Medical University of South Carolina are the first to demonstrate that the noninvasive brain stimulation technique can dampen brain activity in response to drug cues in chronic alcohol users and chronic cocaine users.
Each year, millions of children in developing countries die from diseases for which known treatments exist. How to use this knowledge to save children's lives on a global scale will be discussed in a day-long session Monday, May 3, 2010, at the Pediatric Academic Societies (PAS) meeting in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
A self-help approach to exercise that is supervised remotely by a specialist physiotherapist may help people with chronic fatigue symptoms (CFS) to manage their condition and feel better, according to a new study published in The Lancet.
