According to a study published in the Journal of the American Board of Family Medicine, of all the opioid medication prescriptions that are distributed annually in the US, more than half are for patients diagnosed for mental illness such as depression and anxiety.

This annual recognition acknowledges excellence and innovation within the health care system and contributes to continuously improving the standard of care that Utah's organizations provide. The event took place at the Grand America Hotel located in downtown Salt Lake City.
The Medical Research Council has awarded a grant of £3.5m to researchers from Queen Mary University of London and University of Cape Town to carry out a trial to determine whether a weekly vitamin D supplement can prevent tuberculosis (TB) in South African primary school children.
March of Dimes will receive Research!America's 2010 Paul G. Rogers Distinguished Organization Advocacy Award. The award recognizes March of Dimes' decades of successful advocacy for maternal and child health research and services.
