Molecular dermatology research and development innovator HairDX today announced the results of a six month pilot study that presents, for the first time, evidence that genetic mechanisms may predict treatment response to Finasteride for postmenopausal female Androgenetic Alopecia (female hair loss).

Joslin Diabetes Center and Carlos Slim Health Institute (CSHI) announced they have created a partnership to develop a series of online "virtual" case based interactive educational materials for primary care physicians in Mexico. The educational materials will cover topics such as, prevention and treatment of type 2 diabetes as well as its complications and co-morbidities.
In their groundbreaking paper available on the preprint server medRxiv, University of Pittsburgh researchers were appraising signals of SARS-CoV-2 genome evolution and found that purifying selection (i.e., removal of deleterious mutations) represents the dominant trait during early coronavirus disease (COVID-19) pandemic - suggesting that the virus will evolve as it diversifies in a growing number of hosts.
Soon after a 19-year-old man killed three people and wounded more than a dozen at a festival in Gilroy, Calif., in late July, California Gov. Gavin Newsom noted something often taken for granted about mass shootings.
