UT Southwestern Medical Center's bariatric program has developed a medically supervised program using a specially designed liquid protein diet for people looking to lose weight with or without surgery.
A new study shows that people living along the U.S.-Mexico border have higher rates of diabetes and are more overweight and obese than national averages in both Mexico and the United States, according to results of a survey of more than 4,000 people in the border area.
Improving the detection, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases like cancer will require more detailed, rapid, and agile imaging technology that can show doctors not just what a specific organ looks like, but also what's happening within the cells that make up those tissues.
