A compound given as a dietary supplement to overweight but otherwise healthy people in a clinical trial caused many of the patients to slim down, research by Oregon State University and Oregon Health & Science University showed.
A group of scientists from the Institute of Ecology and the Faculty of Medicine of the National University of Mexico, created a membrane capable of simultaneously detecting numerous organisms in the water or food that cause diarrhea and intestinal problems. This health problem annually kills 760 000 children under the age of five, according to the World Health Organization.
Results from a recent pivotal allergic rhinitis satisfaction survey assessing patient and healthcare provider perspectives on AR reveal that symptoms like nasal congestion and post-nasal drip continue to impact patients' daily activities.
According to Sturgis, the incidence of HPV-positive oropharyngeal carcinoma has increased dramatically in recent years. Although patients with HPV-positive disease have a better prognosis than those with HPV-negative disease, researchers are still seeking a better understanding of what group of patients is more likely to respond to treatment.
TARSA Therapeutics, Inc. today announced that its New Drug Application (NDA) for TBRIATM (calcitonin-salmon [rDNA origin] delayed release tablets) submitted to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in July 2015, has been accepted for review, with a PDUFA date of May 30, 2016.
