Lynch (D-Mass.) — the FEHBP Prescription Drug Integrity, Transparency, and Cost Savings Act (H.R. 4489) — which would increase prescription drug costs and reduce choices for federal employees
In his latest Kaiser Health News column, done in collaboration with The New Republic, Jonathan Cohn writes: "Will health care reform reduce spending on health care too little? Or too much? Over the last several days, one respected authority made a version of the former argument while another made a version of the latter-offering a reminder of why reform is so complicated and why the new law, for all its imperfections, is still an important step forward" (Kaiser Health News).
Nevertheless, it may soon become health policy in England and Wales as primary care doctors are rewarded for screening under their new contract.
Although generic oncology drugs can reduce patient costs and improve treatment access, the safety of these drugs in developing countries is uncertain, according to an international research team led by Dr. Charles Bennett, Josie M. Fletcher professor and chairman of the S.C. SmartState Center in Medication Safety and Efficacy at the College of Pharmacy at the University of South Carolina.
Screening an anti-smoking advertisement before movies which glamorise smoking reduces the appeal of smoking images in movies only to young non-smokers, according to a study in the June issue of Tobacco Control.
