Micromet, Inc. announced today the closing of its previously announced underwritten public offering. Prior to closing, the underwriters exercised in full their option to purchase an additional 1.5 million shares of common stock. As a result, Micromet sold a total of 11.5 million shares of its common stock at a public offering price of $7.00 per share.
Compugen Ltd. announced today the signing of a collaboration and license agreement for the research, development, and commercialization of antibody-based therapeutics for cancer immunotherapy against two novel Compugen discovered immune checkpoint regulators.
Dr Nakano said: "Many randomised clinical trials, such as Treating to New Targets (TNT) and PROVE IT-TIMI, have shown that aggressive cholesterol lowering with statins improves clinical outcomes in patients with CAD and high LDL-C levels.1,2 But until now it was not known whether aggressive lipid lowering with statins would also benefit CAD patients with very low LDL-C levels."
A polymer originally designed to help mend broken bones could be successful in delivering chemotherapy drugs directly to the brains of patients suffering from brain tumours, researchers at The University of Nottingham have discovered.
A new mathematical model may help doctors learn more about the risk factors and causes of glaucoma, including the mechanisms affecting blood flow to the eye.
