Although several genes have been linked to multiple concurring conditions of ASD, the process that explains how specific genetic variants lead to behaviors characteristic of the disorder remains elusive.
A group of investigators of the University of Jena has attempted to identify these aspects in the May issue of Psychotherapy and Psychosomatics.
IRIN examines how local Zimbabwean farmers' usage of water containing raw sewage to irrigate their crops poses a risk of disease transmission to people who consume the vegetables.
