Trillium Therapeutics Inc., a biopharmaceutical company developing innovative immune-based biologics, today announced that it has entered into two definitive license agreements with University Health Network and The Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto, Ontario, granting Trillium exclusive worldwide rights to commercialize two immunology programs in the areas of hematopoietic stem cell transplantation and cancer.

New research shows that asthmatics who have poor symptom control could be benefited by using a three-drug combination inhaler. The standard treatment for these patients is a two-drug combination of an inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) and a long acting beta 2 agonist (LABA). The third ingredient added to the mix is a long acting muscarinic antagonist, add the researchers. This combination successfully improved lung function and reduced exacerbations of asthma wrote the researchers.
