Participation in weight-bearing exercise such as running or football significantly counteracts the effects of sedentary behaviors in adolescent girls, say researchers.
More than a quarter of over 70s with type 2 diabetes could benefit simply from improving communication and education in the clinic, new research has revealed. A study led by the University of Exeter Medical School and published in The Lancet found that 27 percent achieved better glycaemic control through individualised care alone.
Adding levetiracetam to prehospital treatment with clonazepam does not improve control of generalised convulsive status epilepticus, shows a randomised phase III trial.
Strong new biochemical evidence exists showing that the cereal grain sorghum is a safe food for people with celiac disease, who must avoid wheat and certain other grains, scientists are reporting.
