A Mediterranean diet with large amounts of vegetables and fish gives a longer life. This is the unanimous result of four studies to be published by the Sahlgrenska Academy at the University of Gothenburg. Research studies ever since the 1950s have shown that a Mediterranean diet, based on a high consumption of fish and vegetables and a low consumption of animal-based products such as meat and milk, leads to better health.
It was reported that the volume of the brain areas such as the superior temporal gyrus and anterior cingulate cortex reduces in schizophrenia but a precise change of three-dimensional structure of neuron has remained unclear.
Parents concerned about their children's slothful ways can do something about it, according to research at National Jewish Health. They can increase their own activity. In the July 2012 issue of the Journal of Physical Activity and Health, Kristen Holm, PhD, Assistant Professor of Medicine at National Jewish Health, and her colleagues report that, when parents increase their daily activity, as measured by a pedometer, their children increase theirs as well.
Joseph F. Finn, Jr., C.P.A., Assignee for the Benefit of Creditors of Epix Pharmaceuticals, Inc. ("Epix"), announced today that the MRI imaging intellectual properties will be auctioned on May 28, 2010. The assets of Epix were transferred to him on July 20, 2009 and he is liquidating them for the benefit of Epix creditors. He recently reached an agreement with Bayer Schering Pharma that permits the sale of the MRI imaging programs.
