Fujitsu Laboratories of Europe Limited, Fujitsu Asia Pte Ltd and the National University of Singapore (NUS) today announced an important collaboration to establish a new joint research programme - Body Sensor Network for Disease Management and Prevention-Oriented Healthcare. Fujitsu will be working closely with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the NUS Faculty of Engineering, as well as the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and the NUS Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health.
New data on signalling proteins, called G proteins, may prove important in fighting diseases such as cardiovascular, neurodegenerative disorders, and cancer. For many decades scientists have puzzled on "How signalling proteins transport and organize in specific areas of the cell?" Researchers from Nano-Science Center and Department of Neuroscience and Pharmacology at the University of Copenhagen provide yet unrecognized clues to solve this mystery.
Pharsight, a market-leading provider of software and scientific consulting services to improve productivity and decision-making in clinical drug development, announced today that it has launched the Phoenix Pharmacometric Productivity Challenge, a competition to recognize excellence in the application of pharmacometric software to critical problems in drug development.
