Neoprobe Corporation, a diversified developer of innovative oncology surgical and diagnostic products, today announced that it has signed a definitive asset purchase agreement to sell its neoprobe GDS line of gamma detection device systems to Devicor Medical Products, Inc. for $30 million in cash, plus a contingent value provision for payment to Neoprobe of up to an additional $20 million in royalties.
In a series of lab tests, a relatively common soil bacterium has demonstrated its ability to break down the difficult-to-remove class of pollutants called PFAS, researchers at Princeton University said.
Novartis announced today that it has entered into a clinical development agreement with Pfizer which will include a study combining tropifexor and one or more Pfizer compounds for the treatment of NASH, including an Acetyl CoA-Carboxylase (ACC) Inhibitor (PF-05221304, a Diacylglycerol O-Acyltransferase 2 (DGAT2) Inhibitor (PF-06865571, and a Ketohexokinase (KHK) Inhibitor (PF-06835919).
There have been conflicting reports on health benefits and harm caused by drinking alcohol. A new study from Japanese researchers has proven that taking one drink a day for a decade or two drinks for five years can raise the risk of getting cancers by 5 percent. The study titled "Light to moderate amount of lifetime alcohol consumption and risk of cancer in Japan," was published in the latest issue of the journal Cancer.
According to a new study, people who have had near death experiences often have different arousal systems controlling the sleep-wake states than people who have never had such an experience.
