Not all brain cancers are the same but together they represent a deadly disease that has been difficult to identify and treat. Scientists at multiple institutions have found a new way of classifying brain cancers that could very well change how the illness is diagnosed and treated.
When trace elements rise to toxic levels, bad things happen. Patients suffering from Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease harbor significantly higher levels of zinc and iron in their brains than healthy patients.

In a new study researchers have found that consuming meat (both white and red) cooked over open flames or at high temperatures can lead to an increased risk of high blood pressure. These results were revealed this week at a meeting of the American Heart Association.
U.S. and Swiss scientists have made a breakthrough in understanding how a type of white blood cell called the eosinophil may help the body to fight bacterial infections in the digestive tract, according to research published online this week in Nature Medicine
