A wearable sensor printed on microbial nanocellulose, a natural polymer, has been created in Brazil by researchers at the University of São Paulo in São Carlos in collaboration with colleagues at São Paulo State University in Araraquara, the University of Araraquara, the University of Campinas, and the Brazilian National Nanotechnology Laboratory.
The study, published on the pre-print server medRxiv, shows that early warning signals (EWS) provide expected trends, predicting future epidemics and disease emergence.

This study was the largest and longest randomized controlled human study conducted to-date that directly investigated the efficacy of isolated soy protein consumption on the progression of atherosclerosis.
