The U.S. Food and Drug Administration approved the cancer drug Afinitor (everolimus) on Friday to treat patients with subependymal giant cell astrocytoma (SEGA) associated with tuberous sclerosis (TS), a rare genetic disorder. This approval was for treatments of SEGA that can not be treated with surgery.
Kiadis Pharma B.V., a clinical stage biopharmaceutical company developing treatments for blood cancers, announced today that a Services Agreement has been signed with the German Red Cross Blood Donor Service Baden-Wuerttemberg-Hessen (GRCBDS) whereby GRCBDS will provide pharmaceutical development and GMP manufacturing services for Kiadis Pharma's ongoing Phase II clinical study with ATIRâ„¢.
New data presented today at the European League Against Rheumatism Annual Congress (EULAR 2014) show that the newly-approved infliximab biosimilar CT-P13 achieves statistically similar improvements in disease activity, disability and mobility in patients with Ankylosing Spondylitis (AS) compared to its original reference product infliximab (INX).
The Penn State Hershey Center for the Protection of Children has created an online training module - iLook Out for Child Abuse - to help early child care professionals meet new state laws regarding training and reporting of suspected child abuse. The regulations under Act 31 of 2014 take effect on December 31.
