A paper from Rhode Island Hospital and Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit examines whether different presentation formats, presenter characteristics, and patient characteristics affect decision-making for patients requiring treatment for asymptomatic carotid stenosis.

For the first time, researchers at Cornell University used a specialized infrared lens to measure pupillary changes to participants watching erotic videos. Pupils were highly telling: they widened most to videos of people who participants found attractive, thereby revealing where they were on the sexual spectrum from heterosexual to homosexual.
Researchers in the Netherlands, Cuba, and Italy have made important discoveries about the carbohydrate-mediated binding of the severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2) spike protein to host cell lectin receptors and host lung microbiota.
PIKAMAB, a biopharmaceutical company specializing in stratified medicine, announced today that it has been awarded two grants by the U.S. Government under the QTDP program to advance the development and commercialization of two theragnostic products: ADCC Therasight and Lupus Therasight. PIKAMAB applied for two grants, both of which qualified and received the maximum grant amounts totaling approximately $488,959.
