Quest Diagnostics Incorporated today announced that it had agreed to repurchase at a negotiated price 15.4 million shares of its common stock from its largest shareholder, an affiliate of GlaxoSmithKline plc (GSK). Subsequent to the transaction, GSK will no longer hold any shares of common stock of Quest Diagnostics.
Concussion is a common disorder estimated to affect no fewer than 1.7-3.8 million people in the U.S. each year. Many more people with concussion likely do not seek medical care for symptoms of concussion and may suffer long-lasting, progressive, and profoundcognitive, psychiatric, and neurologic effects.
A considerably higher dose of the anti-tuberculosis drug rifampicin is safe and can also lead to a shorter treatment for tuberculosis and less resistance.
Current risk assessment methods, which are used to inform the timing and extent of tuberculosis (TB) vaccination programmes, may overestimate the real risk of contracting the disease up to threefold, reveals research in Thorax.
