The consumption of millets can reduce total cholesterol, triacylglycerols (commonly known as triglycerides) and BMI according to a new study that analyzed the data of 19 studies with nearly 900 people. There are only two FDA/EMEA approved drugs currently available for treating advanced melanoma. The available drugs, however, are not completely effective and have adverse effects. Unmet needs of patients, especially those with advanced melanoma are therefore quite high and have led to a low drug adoption and market growth over the years. The future looks brighter though, with a few promising drugs in pipeline for advanced melanoma.
Drugs for type 2 diabetes can contribute to weight gain, bone fractures and cardiovascular problems, but in mice, an investigational drug appears to improve insulin sensitivity without those troublesome side effects, researchers at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis have shown.
