Researchers at the University of California, San Diego School of Medicine have identified the gene mutation responsible for a particularly severe form of pontocerebellar hypoplasia, a currently incurable neurodegenerative disease affecting children.
Managing Director and founder of Webstercare, Gerard Stevens AM, has told an audience of pharmacists from throughout Asia Pacific that technological innovations are best adopted when they can support the pharmacist to engage personally with the customer.
A Cedars-Sinai team of researchers led by principal investigator Dan Gazit, PhD, DMD, has been awarded a $5.18 million grant from California's stem cell research agency to advance stem cell technologies in segmental bone defects, a complex medical problem caused by large portions of bone tissue loss.
New research by scientists at Switzerland's Institute for Environmental Decisions reports that risk perception and public acceptance of NPIs depends on both worldview and levels of social trust. The study also found that, paradoxically, when the number of cases decreased in the period between the first and second waves, public willingness to comply with these measures fell.
Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield and St. Vincent's Health Partners, Inc., announced today the collaboration on a new model of provider reimbursement. Under this new arrangement, SVHP will focus on the management of chronic disease and preventive health of their patients.
